This fan is amazing!!! I purchased it to replace an existing generic inline duct fan and I am BLOWN away (hehe). It moves twice as much air and on high it is quieter than the old crappy duct fan! This thing reminds me of a jet engine (obviously ALOT quieter). It works well with the speed adjuster which was another thing the old duct fan failed miserably at and the noise is very tolerable once connected in-line with ducting. I have it set up with a filter for the warm air intake from the grow tent and it exhausts into an 8" Carbon Filter. Its quiet enough that once i leave the room i cannot hear it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! THANKS!!!**Update**I would recomend an Auto Transformer as a speed control device. You can turn this fan all the way down to almost nothing and there will be no "whine" or "hum". An auto transformer is better for the fan then the cheap Speed Controllers. The Auto transformer actually lowers the voltage instead of "chopping it up" like the cheaper controllers do.
