We have always bought “Tiki” type umbrellas to use for our patio table. The last couple we bought (also on Amazon) did not last long and shed terribly. The strands would be covering the deck after the wind blew slightly. This umbrella is very cool looking. But what we like best is that it seems much more durable with the woven fabric for the main portions, and just the fun grass-like fringe along the edges. If you look at the picture closely you can see we have huge acorns that drop like rockets from the tall trees. This material is sturdy enough that the acorns just bounce off it. Thank goodness!!Not a bad value at all. I ordered color brown. However, the color is a little closer to tan or beige which was actually reflected in their photos. So in my case I’m very happy as that’s what I hoped for.It cranks open fairly easily. It closes the same way. I can’t tell about durability as it’s way too soon. It assembled in a snap.For the large table I have it fits fine. However as I thought it’s a little short to cover the 1 chair that sits at the end of both sides of the table in case of rain.It has a simple cloth tie to make a knot to hold it closed when cranked down.Umbrella is beautiful, wish it tilted. Could not attach the very top to the umbrella as the manufacturer didn't create a hole to screw it into, my husband had to do it. Other than that, it's very nice.The most attractive market umbrella I’ve owned to date. Very sturdy and does not get caught in wind. Just all round improvement for my patio. Stunning!We bought this for our pontoon in place of a $1400 Bimini for the front. It works fabulously! Great shade and keeps the floor from getting hot.Like the design, assemblyWe have gone through many patio umbrellas over the years but this one exceeds all the others in beauty and function. We just love it!I bought 3 of these and am very impressed for the price. Excellent sun blockage and the double vents work in windy conditions.
