Why, why, why does EVERY sheet set say that it will fit deep mattresses, and none do? Our mattress is 15" tall. Maybe 16" if you count the mattress pad we have on the top. We have bought quite a few sets of sheets that say they fit up to 18", only to have them BARELY grab on to the corners, but won't stretch or tuck in the main part.We took a gamble and ordered these sheets. The color is as expected, a nice mossy green. (We've since ordered a second set in grey!) They're a nice-feeling cotton sheet with a good thickness. Not too thin, not bulky or too thick either. I expect that they will soften up as we wash them more. They're not uncomfortable, but I do think they'll break in a bit as they go.The big deal is that this is a good quality sheet with a very nice appearance and feel that FINALLY (FINALLY!!) fit our mattress! They not only tuck onto the corners, but all around the mattress they cover it up and tuck in! The elastic goes all the way around the fitted sheet, and the flat sheet has a little bit of extra size that make it tuck better also and stay put all night. We were so pleased with this set that we immediately bought a second one.
