DC Comics Mother Box Prop Replica Statue - Premium Collectible Figure for DC Fans, Home Decor & Display

As a big DC comic collector, I originally put off getting the Mother Box prop. With the latest Darkseid storyline in Justice League, and the appearance of the Mother Box's in Batman V Superman; it prompted me to get order one of my own. I have to say it is an amazing prop and one of the most interesting pieces in my collection. The Mother Box has three different sounds/light patterns that make the box illuminate and "vocalize" its three settings. Let me add that all six sides of the box illuminates which I did not expect and the Mother Box recharges using a standard USB connection so. My Mother Box came charged and impressed me immediately, but once I charged it, the lights and sounds were brighter and crisper. While the Mother Box will not open a Boom Tube and grant you passage to another world; it does open your imagination. DC Collectibles nailed this prop!It's a little overpriced for such a small item, don't be fooled, each side is 4 inches, not 8. The lights and sounds are nothing too special but the fact that it charges via USB instead of standard batteries is great. I only got this as I'm sure the DCEU will make a big deal of motherboxes and release a movie version in the coming years and I wanted to have multiple versions. This is worth about $10 less than I spent but for the price paid it's just okay.I really like that it is USB charged so I didnt have to worry about batteries. However I wish the sounds were both better and louder. This thing is supposed to summon boom tubes and I can hardly hear it. However it looks great as a decoration. I wish they had the cassette player looking design.This is great. Although it is not 8 3/4 inches tall as described, Mother Box is impressive. Outstanding attention to detail went into this product. Lights and sound, rechargeable via USB, and fits in the palm of you hand. The only things keeping it from earning 5 stars is that it was not 8 3/4 inches as described, and the sound effect for a Boom Tube could be A LOT louder. Overall this is a winner! If you're a New Gods fan, you won't be disappointed.Wish it was bigger, but overall this is pretty fun for my desk.Great replica, but does anyone else have the charge tab loose so as to not securely fit in place?Excellent DC collectible it has 3 modes of lights and sounds this version of the mother box is taken from the new 52 comic universe it also includes a charger 10 out of 10half the size advertised. only around 4 inches. shame it's falsely advertised as 8.8 inches. but still awesome with the lights, sounds, and the details in this are 10 outta 10, battle damaged N all.
