I have been looking at swing cases for more than a year but just couldn't bare the though of spending +$400 for the undercover version. Was also really wondering about if/how they would fit under the cover, how much they would hold both volume and weight, and concerned about some of the bad reviews for these chinese verions. For me, none of the bad happened. Amazon delivered on time, things were packaged well but not over packaged, and I not only got all the parts, the mfg also provided extra bumper, nuts, screws, and pivot parts. I did get a key with each box but the keys and locks match between the two boxes.Installation was easy. I spent some time making sure that the box would clear the rail and have some room under it. It turned out that the dimple on the side of my 2011 Ram 1500 bed was the perfect spot to screw in the top hole. Bolting on the latch to made it solid and really dictated where it would land on the wheel area. The latch itself also has a good amount of adjustment up and down so it was easy to make the box latch without effort. I did pre-drill before putting in the self drilling screws and I'd highly recommend that. About the only issue I had was that the screws to put on the latch bar have paint on them and that made it a bit difficult to start the nuts. Like I said... very easy to install. One suggestion when setting up the latch is to make sure the adjustment for the latch is snug but not tight. Then close the box onto the latch. This moves the latch into very close to perfect alignment. I also crawled into the bed and looked behind the box to see where the bar strikes the latch and did a minor tweak on one of the boxes given what I saw.I remain a bit concerned about sharp objects or even heavy objects banging around in the box. The hardware ships inside the boxes and it was already obvious what metal banging around in the box would do. I happened to have some too l box liner left over and used that to line the bottom of the boxes. I figure this will add cushion when heavy things are dropped in the box or just bounce around. It may even quiet things down a bit.So the disappointment is that indeed when these boxes are both on the space between them is only 47" so sheet good either have to go under them or at least one box needs to be removed. In my installation I could put up to 2.5" of sheet material under the boxes. If I need more, it really isn't hard to pop the box off and considering previously I had a duffle bag that I had to haul out of the bed when I hauled sheet goods this isn't really any worse.
