Years ago, I found the 10 1/2" tall talking R2-D2 at Wal-mart for $30 and loved it (sadly, the white plastic legs turn a mild shaded of yellow over the years. Wis that could be fixed). Gladly, that robot is still being sold today, just now updated to a "Force Awakens" packaging. I never knew about the SW Legendary Yoda robot until recently when I watched a guy on YouTube who found four of them at a bookstore (did not say which one) for $20 each. What a steal! He had three of them battle each other in warrior mode and it was fun to see. I was immediately smitten with the toy and desired one right away. Luckily, my local Toys 'R Us and had two left of the original release box (solid artwork box without a window. Images of front and back of the box added). Like the awesome "R2-D2 Talking Figure", Yoda is a fantastic robot/statue. The detailing is perfect, the vocalizations are excellent in clarity, the movements are fluid and fast (can totally understand why dogs would be scared of it a bit), it recognizes your vocal commands very easily and responds quickly, and the rubber head looks great, as well as the clothing. Even if you don't play around with it a lot, Yoda just looks awesome as a room piece for any Star Wars fan. Those are the pros, which is basically the whole thing. The two cons are needing 6 "C" batteries for it to function. That's a lot of juice. Good thing there is an off switch on the back of the robot under the clothes. The other minor niggle is that Yoda's left hand won't grip the walking stick like it does with the lightsaber, so it just hovers over the top of it looking a bit weird. Not a big deal though. The box indicates Yoda has 115 phrases, though I've only heard a few of them. Not sure how you go about getting it to say them all. Oh yeah, one other minor con is that he doesn't respond to his or other SW character names like R2 does. With the droid, you can say "Hey R2" and get a friendly little chirp to acknowledge it heard you or call out that greeting, coupled with a SW character to receive a reply on par to how emotional R2 is to that particular person. Say "Hey Yoda" or "Hey Master Yoda" and he won't do anything. Of course, the robot will randomly move and speak when not doing anything, which is cool, but you have to watch out that it doesn't move around and drop off the area that it sits if elevated.I highly recommend this amazing Yoda robot, for both fun and decoration. Get it while you still can at low prices since the robot has oddly been discontinued by the maker, Spin Masters. Shop around though, for $50 is the lowest on eBay and Amazon is selling them a bit too high. Check you local Toys 'R Us and other big bookstore chains for them first and see if you can find it for $20 to $30.
