I scoured the internet for hours to find a durable yet affordable box. This is the one. I wanted it to transport my 2000 watt Champion generator [which is @ 18" high], and assorted camping supplies. It will sit well in my hitch mounted bin. I read many reviews of people who keep them in the back of their trucks.Similar boxes I found were well over $200. Metal ones were twice that...or more.A reviewer of a similar box [but one made of regular plastic] kicked a hole in his in a fit of anger. If this box were full of gear, he would have ended up with a broken foot, not a broken box!The overlapping lip makes it weather resistant.Being made of structural foam, it's sturdy, and can be used as a seat or table. Despite the strength, it's relatively lightweight, and there are handles moulded into the sides. I did not know that this one came with a keyed lock - which is a plus - but the latch is a little less than substantial. Fortunately, two eyelet on the front allow one to use a mid-weight lock to secure it. I bought this two-pack, and they're perfect:https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FL6J8LV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I use a "Lashlock", which is a locking/tightening cable that should be standard gear for all surfers, boarders, kayakers and anyone who has anything on the outside of the vehicle. I can loop it around the rails of my bin and over this box, and then secure it with a tightening clamshell that has a combo lock. Look around, they can be found.Understand that this is a "plastic" box, and if someone really wants to get in, they can. But it will definitely deter "thefts of opportunity". I have no qualms about leaving gear in this box while away from a campsite - as long as the box itself is secured. I'm really glad to have found it!
