Another quality piece by Kissing Crane. I have never owned a Case hobo so can't compare it to that. However, I will say that the fit and finish of my Kissing Crane Hobo is excellent, with everything assembled and fork and spoon closed, it is very solid. Of course it gets "Loosey Goosey" when you open the fork and spoon, as those are the first steps to complete disassembly. My knife came hair-busting sharp. Yes, the fork and spoon are small for compactness and portability, but you certainly won't starve to death using them, you just need to take more smaller bites! I love the color of the Amber Jigged Bone, looks even better than the photos. I found a Case Hobo sheath on Amazon for a great price and the Kissing Crane Hobo fits nicely in the sheath, with the spoon up and out. It's true that this is not a minimalist, lightweight set for the extreme backpacker, but it looks better than the bare bones sets and unless you are an extreme hiker, it would be a great addition to your pack. I keep mine with my emergency food supply, for now. All utensils are high quality stainless, so you could use it for every meal and easily wash it and re-assemble when you are done with chow. Highly recommend this tool, since you could buy three of them for the price of one Case Hobo. I have two boys so may just buy a couple more!
