After discovering my pre-cast cement distribution box collapsed on itself (we are assuming it was the original, but lasted 48 years), I learned that these tote bin looking items are the new and preferred replacements. I had lots of questions like won't plastic float? Can't I buy one of these at Walmart and punch my own holes? Should I go with pre-cast like what was there? Am I going to be replacing this one sooner? I'm sure you are all doing the same. Well, I'm writing my review since I took my chances on this! Very happy I did, so far. It was delivered in less than a week, measurements weren't exactly perfect (on my end not this items end) but it's ok, it was missing 2 yellow gaskets (7 were in the packaging and it states 9), missing 1 orange seal (it says it comes with 2) and I was able to get them locally for a couple bucks. Install went well (4in pipes) with gaskets, levelers (not included, but my septic company was willing to give me 4, no charge). Very tough and seems durable for plastic. Overall for $80, I took a chance. This can cost you way more if you are looking for pre-cast or hiring out the job. We did this ourselves and hopefully we never need to do it again!
