TAYLOR CABLE 48200 Aluminum Battery Box with Hold Down - Secure Battery Storage for Cars, Trucks & Marine Vehicles

This box has several issues.First, the vent tube doesn't work. the design they use is a plastic 90* elbow with threads on one side and a barb fitting on the other.they use a palnut push on fastner that doesn't fit the threads therefore not holding the vent tube what so ever.Second, The threaded rod they provide is 1" too short.Third, the box doesn't seal. I don't know how this passed NHRA inspection. Use only a optima type battery.Forth, Taylor cable recommends using 2 gauge wire yet the holes and grommets only allow for 4 gauge.Spend less money and buy Jegs brand full enclosure.I called Taylor Cable over 10 times, they agreed the palnut push on fastner doesn't fit the 90* threads, but failed to provide a solution.absolutely horrible. I will not advertise their name on the top of my box.
