Woodhaven 4555 Box Joint Jig

Features

Cuts any box joint between 1/8" to 13/16". This jig is the easiest way to make box joints because the work moves over the jig. That means there's less chance for error and better results than jigs that require moving both the jig & the work for each cut. And check out the 4553 Upgrade Kit, which is a popular accessory for the 4555 Box Joint Jig.

Includes a 24" aluminum Ultra Track with bit/blade cutout and replaceable sub-fences.

Adjustable aluminum pins prevent part slippage.

Attaches to any miter gauge, miter gauge not included.

Lifetime guarantee against defects in material or workmanship. Made in the USA!

I have been making box joints for 25 years and of all the jigs that I have created or purchased, this one by Woodhaven is the best. It was easily set up and adjustments are quite simple. It went right onto my Incra miter gauge; the fit and finish of the jig is near perfect.I started with both 5/8" and 3/4" box joints and had absolutely no problems. The T track makes fine adjustments for joint tolerances quick. To "loosen" the joint simply move the the pins toward the blade and to "tighten" the joint move the the pins away from the blade (accomplished by loosening the miter gauge from the track and moving the entire assembly the appropriate direction--do NOT move the pins themselves...they are used only as a reference). Please keep in mind that this movement is very minute....the thickness of a single or double piece of paper usually does the trick.I seldom make a review but I think that the quality of this jig dictates a five star rating. I do not wish to sound trite, but if you cannot make near-perfect box joints with this tool Woodhaven 4555 Box Joint Jig, something is drastically wrong with your saw......or perhaps you should look for a less expensive hobby.
