I agree with the issue of being able to crank all the way down until about a few inches then you have to physically push together. I also agree that a velcro strap should have been included, how much could that have been be to throw in???So I went to the dollar store and purchased a pack of bungee cords with the the thicker plastic not the thin metal ends, I also agree with the review that it may at times act like a weather vane but I did not have access to a wrench to tighten it better. I do love the fact that is is oblong like the table and there is more coverage then a round one. As for the base, you definitely need a sturdier one which means a purchase of a base that cost a little more but worth it. Overall content.. I would like to know if anyone has purchased an UMBRELLA COVER and if so what kind because all the covers seem to go to the ground and I leave my in the base with the table so I would need a shorter one. ANY SUGGESTIONS??? ThanksThis umbrella is a very welcome addition to our backyard. Its interesting unusual shape does it’s excellent job, provide shade during the summer months, enabling us to enjoy our yard despite the overwhelming heat. This umbrella is well made, it can be extend and close easily by turning a crank in one direction or the other. The fabric is nice quality, and the umbrella is sturdy, all you need it’s a heavy duty base, we just got one that gets fill up with concrete and water, and it works awesome. It’s so impressive.This product is sturdy, appears to be well made. We have pretty consistent winds and with the heavy base we purchased, it works well. It does turn a bit, but a suppose with the wind, it is to be expected. Easy up and roll down.The umbrella looks nice and steady. It comes with 2 pieces and would take you less than a minute to assemble it. The roller is easy to control. We are in a place with lots of winds and the umbrella is reliable. We love it and would recommend it to our friends.Because the children like to play in the water, I chose this umbrella, it is very big, can block the sun in all directions, its appearance is also very beautiful, atmosphere.Recommended for easy storageCouldn't be happier. This umbrella has a unique design and expands to cover a much larger space than a standard umbrella would cover. Be sure to use a heavy base to secure it if free standing.
