Description

This listing does not come with pressure switch, which need to be purchased separately if you want to auto-shut-off the pump. This listing is for a boost pump for water supply to a Reverse Osmosis water system. It is to increase the water supply pressure from 40 psi to 60 psi for RO systems that is 75GPD or smaller. Larger capacity RO should use 8852 pump instead. Also this pump is NOT for output boosting, or line boosting. If you want to increase output pressure of a RO system to ice maker or refrigerator, use 5851 pump instead. If you don't know what you need. Please ask before you buy. Please do not use this pump for misting applications because it is too small. For misting, use other model 8852 pumps

It's quiet enough that I can't hear it at all with the cabinet door closed. I hooked it up after the carbon filters and before the RO filter as the instructions suggest. This should make the pump last longer as it is not pumping dirty water. You'll need a few more feet of 1/4 inch tubing to do this so plan on getting some ahead of time. You'll need the TSO for the pump to work with your water tank, you should also get the ESO and install it on the water line going into the pump to do a complete job and prevent water from creeping into the filter when the pump is off because of the existing pressure from your tap line. It brought my incoming tap pressure of 45-50 psi to the carbon filters up to 65-70 psi into the RO filter which is fine. This setup is working well and I recommend it for others.
