I have purchased several products from Dan at Genie Hand over the last five years or so, and I am even happier with this safe than his others, and that's saying a lot.About the customer service - it doesn't get better than this. Despite the fact he is six time zones ahead of me here on the East Coast of the USA, I have always received an answer to any question I had within a couple of hours, and usually even faster. If I need to call him, I will get HIM, not a team of robots.As for the product - the countdown safe I purchased was the medium size. It's a whole new mechanism compared to the other safes I have bought from him and is very simple to use. I find it better, as you can't dig around in there and try to put the safe into "always open with code" mode. The learning curve is also much faster than the old "off and then on" method of setting the times to have the safe locked. There's just one time you have to set, not two. This method also prevents huge mistakes I made with the old system a couple times that could leave your safe locked an entire extra week if you make an error with one of the days with the old system. It also has a USB port for power in case the batteries die.The construction is extremely high quality. The walls are even thicker than his other safes (which were already very strong), the door has two thick steel rods that each have their own steel holes, and the finish is very nice. It weighs about 25 lbs, so this thing is tough. The cost just to ship this safe from Italy must be about $150, much more than it says here on Amazon.I haven't had the safe for very long because it's a new model, but my impressions for the first month is it's a game changer for my crazy vices and the way I used to try to get in the old time-lock safes, which involved coat hangers and drills if that gets the point across of how much I need these products. His safes have saved me literally TENS of thousands of dollars. I have already made back the money this specific safe cost by 3x in the month I've had it with what I've saved myself from. This safe is so rock-solid I wouldn't even dare to drill it because I think I would break my bit and/or drill. Prying it open would also be extremely difficult due to each steel rod having its own set hole, rather than the steel rods just sitting behind a steel wall. I'm pretty sure it would take hours, and I would likely destroy everything in the safe. This is a good thing!I can't recommend Dan or his products enough if you have anything you need to keep yourself away from and your willpower needs a little help.
