We have purchased Abba Patio umbrellas from Amazon for many years. Formerly, we could buy Abba Patio umbrellas made with Sunbrella fabric, which is ideal for the outdoor environment in Florida, however, Abba Patio seems to not sell this option anymore. After several years of purchasing non-Sunbrella umbrellas from Abba Patio coupled with what seems to be declining quality, we finally decided to try a different manufacturer.I am impressed by Elite Shade patio umbrella. We assembled and put up today and it seems to be very well made and thoughtfully designed. Rather than have a crank-based or pulley-based opening mechanism, it has two gas struts to assist with opening and a simple pin and lock mechanism. I really like that.As others have mentioned the pole diameter is larger than other patio umbrellas, however, it fit our table and the base (which had several gaskets to accept the larger diameter). Frankly, it looks better than the skinnier pole with 11' diameter.Time will tell if the color bleaches quickly, but, if we get one-two years out of it we will be satisfied (and we will update the review when we have to replace the umbrella).
