I bought this pump to replace another pump that was used to service my toilets from the rainwater tank and it seems to work ok. The old pump's maximum amperage was 2.5 amps and this one says 1.5 amps so I shouldn't have any issues using the same circuit that the old pump was on. However, this pump has a very high startup surge and it kept tripping the breaker which cause the rest of the appliances to stop working. So I decided to run a dedicated circuit just for this rainwater service. Once that was done, it stopped tripping the new circuit at startup but it started to trip other circuits .. which didn't make any sense to me. So I decided to put the pump behind a single surge protector and that seems to cure the problem. Just a side note. Even with the single surge protector, it was still tripping the original circuit where the old pump was on. Hopefully the pump will last a little longer than some of the other buyers of this pump.Update: A representative from ECO-WORTHY saw my review and contacted me. He told me their pump shouldn't have the problem I experienced and determined the pump I received might be faulty. He wanted to make things right and sent me a replacement pump. I just like to say they have great customer service. Thank you!
