This is the coolest travel humidor on the market!As someone who is pretty seriously invested in cigars and someone who likes gadgets, I was really excited about this humidor. I regard cigar smoking as a luxury activity and this is definitely a luxury item and it's one of many luxury items that I've purchased to invest in my cigar experience.The Good:This is a very high quality humidor. It has all of the durability and security features that probably nobody really needs for storing cigars. When I was in the military and deployed to Afghanistan, my wife mailed cigars to me and I would have LOVED having this then. Nevertheless, these security features are super cool. I can't imagine many situations where my humidor might get run over by a truck, but I know this one could easily survive that. I have a swimming pool in my back yard where the guys get together at least once a week and we smoke in the shallow end. I've seen humidors fall into the water. In a situation like that, this Vaultek humidor will float and the cigars will be completely fine. I'm not really into flashy status symbols but I think this achieves that as well because the copper design asthetic coupled with the visual composition of the warm cedar tray and leathather really look good when you open it and set it on the table at a cigar lounge. The accompanying app that tracks humidity and temperature is perhaps not necessary, but works very well and is a cool added bonus. It's again, not a feature that I think is essential but an innovative feature that I'm willing to pay for.The BadFundamentally, what I want in a travel humidor is a portable case that can safely store and preserve some (at least 5) cigars, my cutter, and my lighter. Anything it can do above that is a bonus. I really wanted to love this humidor, but this is where it fails. This is an expensive item and a fairly large one. I'm not disappointed at all that it really only holds 6 cigars (in order to store 11 as mentioned in the description, you have to remove the cedar tray, which also means losing the bluetooth functions). Of the people who would buy a $350-400 portable humidor, how many use only the basic two finger guillotine style cutter? That's the only cutter that will fit in this humidor without serious concessions. I was easily able to fit a small ST Dupont lighter in the top storage area above the cedar tray but NOTHING fits inside the leather pockets in the lid that isn't completely flat. I always travel with one of two cutters, one is the Xikar XO that I've had for years and the other is the Benchmade (which is a pretty expensive cutter). It seems unreasonable to me that I'm buying an expensive cigar case and still having to put my cutter in my pocket. It also seems unreasonable to me to roll out with a flashy expensive cigar case and then go back to using the cheap plastic cutter that I got for free the first time I bought cigars. So in the end, this became the deal breaker for me.Conclusion:I think that this is a awesome luxury cigar case and it has some serious potential. If Vaultek were to re-design it so that it can accomodate a little more space for accessories, I'd buy the new version. I don't even care if it means the case ends up a little bit bigger. I'm not really happy with ANY case available on the market right now, but I know I can find one a lot less expensive that meets my fundamental need of carrying at least 5 cigars, one high quality ligher, and one high quality cutter in one neat package. If I can get one that's waterproof, practically indestructible, code access, biometric, with bluetooth metrics, even better! Count me in! It has to meet that basic requirement though or I'm not going to use it.As an avid cigar and gadget guy I appreciate the other reviews and find many critiques to be spot on. This is a beautifully made luxury cigar item that is an excellent humidor for a small amount of cigars. The Bluetooth and biometric features work flawlessly. It is bigger than I thought it would be, quite a bit bigger than the previous model which I have as well. I also agree with other reviewers that the pouches for accessories suffer the same poor design as in the first version, namely they are really tight and can fit only the skinniest cutter and lighter. And there areOnly 2 slots. I don’t find this as a real negative since I see this as a humidor and I don’t store my cutters in a humidor anyway. It is too big to carry around anyway. I leave this at my club and always have a stash of well protected humidified cigars. To take smokes with me I use a leather cigar carrier anyway. So I like this and give it 5 stars. Just be sure you realize how large and heavy this is before buying as it is not something you carry around with you.I work at a humidor and have several travel type cases, Pelican, Xilar etc. i always find fault in the ones I purchase, shelve them and start looking for the next one. Although There are a few things I found negative about this Lifepod Humidor, my search is over.Positives:-big enough to carry plenty of cigars wherever I go- stylish abd functional.- sturdy- top insert for torches, cutters etc will accommodate most accessoriesNegatives:-expensive, especially when compared to a regular Vaultek. The only difference are the cedar insert and logo badge, yet $80ish dollars more.- must buy carry handle separately. For the price, the $9 handle should come with it.- Doesn’t come with micro USB cable. Again for the cost it should come standardMy son in law love this itemThis thing is really cool. It was a tiny bit bigger than I thought. It looks great inside and out, however I ended up sending it back. 300 bucks with tax I just couldn’t justify it. The tiny plastic one I carry holds 4 cigars and fits in my pocket. This one only holds 5 and fits in a backpack. I just couldn’t see when I would use it. If I’m traveling I take more than 5 cigars.I would pay 150 for this but I think that would be my max for what I get out of it…Product well constructedWas not happy with the finish. It wasn’t cheap, poor quality finish. Had higher expectations for the price. After doing all the set up I didn’t feel like sending it back
